What if none of the Core configurations fits my product?
Vuzix develops custom waveguide geometries for OEM partners with application-specific requirements outside the standard portfolio. Custom programs can specify field of view beyond 40°+, a range of display engines (DLP, LCoS, laser LCoS, microLED, OLED), monocular or binocular layouts, helmet-mounted or consumer form factors, prescription compatibility via Litebank, non-headworn (Jumbo format) applications, and material choices including glass, polymer, or ultra-thin glass via Micro-Touch. Initial custom samples typically ship 8–16 weeks from design confirmation.
How do Vuzix Incognito, Litebank, Micro-Touch, and Jumbo Format work together?
These four proprietary technologies can be combined within a single waveguide design depending on program requirements. Incognito reduces forward light leakage, Litebank enables prescription compatibility and wider fields of view through high-index substrates, Micro-Touch supports manufacturing on fragile materials like ultra-thin glass and polymers, and Jumbo Format extends waveguide architecture into larger formats for automotive HUDs and aviation.
