Turning the Vuzix Blade into Tony Stark’s E.D.I.T.H. Smart Glasses

A Marvel-ous restyling of the Blade

It’s hard to believe that smart glasses and augmented reality exist. After all, it wasn’t long ago the technology was exclusively the product of Hollywood blockbusters.

Granted, modern smart glasses aren’t as sophisticated as those sported by Peter Parker in the latest Spiderman film or by Taron Egerton’s secret service agent in 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Indeed, it’ll take some time for modern AR tech to meet the lofty expectations set by today’s filmmakers. Nevertheless, we can make today’s smart glasses look just as cool as those on the big screen.

A high-tech makeover

YouTube channel JLaservideo has taken it upon themselves to make a pair of Vuzix Blade smart glasses look like Marvel’s E.D.I.T.H.

With a few tweaks, the Blade’s appearance is re-imagined in a way that would give Stan Lee a posthumous grin.

Although none of the alterations affect the Blade’s performance, JLaservideo uses the altered glasses to recreate the spider-drone scene in Spiderman: Homecoming using the DJI Drone app.

It’s beyond cool to see the Blade play a major role in an example of life imitating art.

Checkout the full video here. Many thanks to JLaservideo for taking it upon themselves to put together the fascinating video.
