maxReality™ is an optional Autodesk® 3ds Max® plugin that allows you to launch an augmented reality interactive 3D experience of your 3D model right onto your desk, with the click of a button.
Combined, Vuzix Wrap 920 AR glasses and maxReality become a virtual "HOLO-Deck" on your desktop. With the click of the mouse, you can launch an interactive view of your 3D Studio Max and 3D Studio Viz model, in stereoscopic 3D. Whether you are a 3D Modeler or Architect, it is now possible to interact and experience your models in the real world and in real time.
maxReality supports many standard 3D Studio Max features including; Animation, Texture Mapping, Pixel Shading, Lighting, Morphing and more. Advanced features like; Animated Path and Free Cameras Environment Effects, Portals within or to external models, Triggered Animations, Blue screening, and 3D Sounds are also supported.

The Wrap 920AR is based upon the Vuzix Wrap 920 video eyewear and a Wrap VGA Adapter that enables PC compatibility and connectivity. It also includes a Wrap Tracker 6TC; a motion tracker that plugs into a special port on the Wrap 920 enabling software to monitor your direction and angle of view as well as movement. Embedded into the face of the eyewear are two specially modified USB video cameras that connect to a PC as two discrete USB webcams. Removable noise-isolating earphones round out the Wrap 920AR by delivering high-fidelity stereo audio.
Near-eye Display
Using the same display system as the popular Wrap 920 video eyewear, the Wrap 920AR provides the visual equivalent of a 67-inch display, at a distance of 10 feet, displaying crystal clear 2D or 3D video. The display capabilities of the Wrap 920AR can be used on virtually any composite compatible device. For use as an augmented reality system, it is connected to a Windows based personal computer (desktop, netbook or laptop) through the included Wrap VGA Adapter.2D video is supported of the box and 3D stereoscopic video is supported in side-by-side format. Stereo Camera Pair
The twin camera system of the Wrap 920AR provides two discrete video sources, each provided to a USB connected PC as standard USB video camera devices. Each camera captures 640 x 480 VGA video at 30 frames per second.Motion Tracking
Each Wrap 920AR is equipped with a Wrap Tracker 6TC, a 6-degrees of freedom tracker with compass that plugs into the Wrap 920 video eyewear.
This high-tech powerhouse measures in at only 30 x 10 x 15 millimeters yet out-powers other consumer market head-tracking systems. Its multiple 3-axis gyros, accelerometers and magneto-resistive sensors provide positioning and movement tracking for yaw, pitch, roll, X, Y and Z. It plugs into an expansion port provided on compatible Wrap video eyewear models and includes software support for a multitude of existing games and other applications. A royalty free SDK (software development kit) assists software developers in adding their applications with Wrap Tracker 6TC support to virtual and augmented reality applications with minimal effort.
Audio
A pair of removable noise-isolating earphones are provided with the Wrap 920AR. They provide high-fidelity stereo audio while minimizing external noise interference or they can be removed to enable the use of alternate audio equipment. The earphones are recognized by Windows as standard USB speakers and can be managed as such through the Windows Control Panel.Keeping It Together
Each Wrap 920AR + maxReality Bundle includes a Vuzix Deluxe Carry Case to keep your Wrap eyewear and accessories together and protected.
Your eyewear snuggles comfortably into the base section and the upper section’s cargo net embraces your cabling and peripherals. The deluxe case takes up minimal space travelling and provides optimum protection.
Software
In addition to including access to the Vuzix SDK (Software Development Kit), each Wrap 920AR includes a license for the Vuzix VR Manager software*.The Vuzix SDK is an evolving royalty-free resource intended to aid and assist software developers in adding support to their applications for Vuzix video eyewear and accessories, including 3D stereoscopic video and head-tracking.
The Vuzix VR Manager provides tracker calibration services and tracker and 3D video support to numerous existing software applications. See the Supported Titles List for a list of titles and supported capabilities.

Augmented reality or AR is a mixture of the real-world and virtual computer-generated imagery or information.
With the Wrap 920AR, the real world is captured by it’s stereo camera system and displayed in the eyewear on what appears to your eyes as a 67-inch display as seen from 10-feet (3m). This image, which can be displayed in standard 2D or 3D, can be augmented with virtually any form of computer-generated data in the form of text, still images or even video.
Until now, augmented reality has been limited to bulky stationary displays or portable hand-held systems with limited capabilities. Although these solutions implemented AR technology, it was in an unnatural format with obvious technology barriers. The Wrap 920AR is the first consumer product that empowers users to experience AR in a real-world environment – worn like sunglasses and displaying 3D graphics.
